Raylan, a purebred mutt, has been spending about seven years of his time acting as a foster dad to dozens of kittens that arrive at his home. He loves taking care of each one of them as if they were his own.
Raylan’s human mom, Laura Tindal, shared that her senior dog loves being busy. Fostering kittens gives Raylan the sense of purpose he needs, so she does not stop him from doing what he enjoys the most: caring for those who need it.
Laura recalled that Raylan has always been so thrilled whenever a new foster arrives that he would spend all day watching, grooming, and winning them over. Raylan plays and cuddles with all the kittens, which helps with his well-needed mental stimulation.
It turns out that Raylan is not the kind of pup that spends all day lying quietly on the bed for hours because he gets bored quickly. Luckily, two kitty brothers and sisters, Ron and Hermione, who were found in a garage, arrived just when Raylan needed them to keep him busy.
Ron and Hermione were both dehydrated and underweight when they arrived at Laura’s home. Raylan decided to step up to be who the cats needed when he saw that the two kittens, especially Ron, missed their mama.
Raylan instantly fell in love with Ron, and Ron felt the same too. Ron immediately wanted to be touching Raylan all the time and constantly needed to be as close to him as possible, which the dog happily obliged.
Ron loves it when Raylan picks him up and carries him around the house with his mouth, which continued until he was big enough not to fit in Raylan’s jaws anymore. The two kittens were eventually adopted together, making Raylan look forward to more foster kittens that would come his way.
